WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE MATHCASTER!

I have over 20+ years of combined experience in the areas of teaching/tutoring, technology and entertainment. I have a BSEE with honors in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and an MSEE in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. I am currently teaching High School Mathematics at the Campbell Hall Episcopal School, in North Hollywood, CA.

I offer a one-on-one learning experience that focuses on inspiring students to tackle their difficulties in Mathematics, in a non-intimidating manner. But, more uniquely, I supplement the student's learning experience beyond our sessions through the creation of Mathcasts. Mathcasts are personalized math videos, utilizing screen capture technology with audio, that allows the student to have an on-demand recording of specific math topics.

Each student gets their own individualized video playlist that creates a "Virtual Learning" environment that can be used repeatedly to enhance their comprehension of the subject matter. In addition, through the use of Distance Learning Software, I also have the capability to teach/tutor students in a real-time online "Virtual Classroom" situation, if a physical meeting is not possible. This allows me to teach/tutor students in remote locations, as long as they have access to the internet.

But, most importantly, I enjoy working with students to present the subject material in an approachable manner in order to help break down the barrier of intimidation that the study of Mathematics can sometime present.

FYI, Here are a some sample Mathcast videos (NOTE: Quicktime and Flash Player required):
